» Affordable sat nav launched for GPS novices

Satellite navigation system giant TomTom has recently launched a new entry level sat nav that is targeted towards those that are relatively new to sat nav technology as well as those that are on a budget.

With sat nav devices available in all shapes and sizes there is something to suit most drivers in the UK these days. However, the cost of a sat nav can be quite high depending on which model and make you choose, and for some people having a sat nav is not viable in the current financial climate due to the cost of the devices.

However TomTom sat nav giant, has recently announced the launch of a new sat nav model that will not only suit those relatively new to sat nav technology, making it a great choice for sat nav novices, but will also prove to be more affordable for those that are on a budget, making it great for those that cannot afford the current prices of sat navs.

The new TomTom Start is a simple to use sat nav model, and comes with a two button interface and a three and a half inch screen. The compact design of this new model makes it easy to carry around in a coat pocket, which means that drivers will not struggle to find somewhere to put the device when they leave their vehicle. The UK edition of the device is just under one hundred and twenty pounds.

An official from TomTom said that the aim of the new model was to provide users with all of the benefits of a sat nav but at a more affordable price, making it more accessible to consumers, stating: “With the introduction of TomTom Start, we have taken another step in democratising navigation by making it easy to use, accessible and affordable, but without compromising on providing drivers with the fastest route.”
