Many people are still trying to battle through the crowds to finish their Christmas shopping, and no doubt one of a number of sat nav devices are bound to be on the lists of many of these late shoppers.
There is something to be said to being so organised that you have all of your Christmas shopping done and dusted by the time the less organised of us are only just thinking about what to get people. On the downside, those that do their shopping early often miss out on the last minute Christmas deals that retailers often launch in order to get that last rush of people through the doors before the busiest time of the year comes to an end.

Like a number of its rival manufacturers sat nav giant TomTom has developed a new satellite navigation system to assist drivers of commercial vehicles.
Drivers of large commercial vehicles such as lorries face a range of hazards and obstacles on the road, such as low bridges, narrow lanes, and other things that can make their journey and their job far more difficult than it needs to be. With more and more commercial drivers using satellite navigation systems many are finding themselves being directed to a totally inappropriate route which not only causes hassle but can also prove to be dangerous.

A recent study has shown how the trends of drivers in the UK have changed as a result of relying so much on their sat nav device, with some reports claiming that sat navs have resulted in common sense flying out of the window.
Many drivers these days would not dream of driving anywhere without having their sat nav device firmly suctioned to their windscreen, and many industry groups and officials have stated that UK drivers have become completely reliant on their sat nav devices even though many have expressed dissatisfaction with their systems and have ended up getting lost or even getting into a dangerous situation as a result of their sat nav’s directions.

HGV drivers come across many different problems on the roads, ranging from low bridges to narrow roads. However, there is now yet another sat nav system available that is designed to help these drivers to enjoy a much smoother, trouble free journey.

A leading sat nav manufacturer has now launched a new sat nav designed for lorry drivers to help them avoid the age old problem of coming across low bridges on their driving routes.
One major problem that has dogged lorry drivers for many years is the problems of low bridges that they come across on their driving routes, which can really scupper their schedules and lead to them spending more time than they have to on the road because they then have to start looking for alternative routes to get to their destination.

Satellite navigation system giant TomTom has recently launched a new entry level sat nav that is targeted towards those that are relatively new to sat nav technology as well as those that are on a budget.
With sat nav devices available in all shapes and sizes there is something to suit most drivers in the UK these days. However, the cost of a sat nav can be quite high depending on which model and make you choose, and for some people having a sat nav is not viable in the current financial climate due to the cost of the devices.

Sat nav giant Tom Tom has announced the pricing of its iPhone car kit, and iPhone users with the sat nav application will be able to get hold of this kit for just under one hundred pounds
Following the release of the Apple iPhone sat nav application, satellite navigation giant has released an iPhone car kit, and it has recently announced the UK pricing for this kit. The company has stated that the sat nav iPhone car kit will cost just under one hundred pounds, and with the run up to Christmas already having started it could enjoy seeing impressive sales levels as consumers buy the kits for themselves and for loved ones.

Whilst many companies have started using sat nav devices to get around on work’s business one report has warned that they shouldn’t rely solely on these devices as otherwise they could still end up losing their way.
A recent study has been carried out into business drivers in the UK, and the results of the study found that those driving vehicles on the roads on business tend to travel an average forty two miles in the wrong direction when they get lost, and this compares to twenty three miles for road users that are not driving on business. The results came from a survey carried out by Continental Tyres, in which around four thousand road users were polled.

It has been revealed in a recent report that most younger drivers in the UK have become totally reliant on their sat nav devices to get around.
Most older drivers across the UK will know that it is like to have to use an atlas, A-Z, or road map in order to get around in their vehicles, and in some cases older drivers that have sat nav devices still rely partly on the old fashioned way of getting around and finding different places. However, a recent report has shown that the same cannot be said of younger drivers, with many having become totally reliant on their sat nav devices to get around.
