Increasing number of sat nav devices being recycled

It has been reported that a rising number of sat nav devices in the UK are now being recycled, which has put these devices second only to cell phones when it comes to the recycling of electrical gadgets.

As many people now know it has become the sensible and environmentally friendly thing to do to recycle old cell phones rather than leaving them to gather dust in the home, where they often end up in the bin and finish up in landfills. By recycling old mobile phones consumers are able to not only help the environment but in some cases earn a little money back for themselves from the recycling companies.

Do you trust your sat nav?

Whilst many drivers in the UK have sat nav devices in their vehicles the results of recent research have shown that only a minority of drivers actually trust their sat nav systems.

Over recent years sat nav devices have become increasingly popular in the UK, and more and more people have started to use sat navs in order to get around with speed and ease. These devices are now used by regular drivers as well as professional drivers, and there are many different makes and models of sat nav available with prices to suit a range of different needs.

It has been reported that sat navs are directing lorries through a village and are causing damage to a bridge and to properties as a result of this.

Sat nav devices have become increasingly popular over recent years, and many people have become reliant on these devices in order to get around with ease, speed, and convenience. Many people are still trying to battle through the crowds to finish their Christmas shopping, and no doubt one of a number of sat nav devices are bound to be on the lists of many of these late shoppers.

There is something to be said to being so organised that you have all of your Christmas shopping done and dusted by the time the less organised of us are only just thinking about what to get people. TomTom develops sat nav for commercial vehicles

Like a number of its rival manufacturers sat nav giant TomTom has developed a new satellite navigation system to assist drivers of commercial vehicles.

Drivers of large commercial vehicles such as lorries face a range of hazards and obstacles on the road, such as low bridges, narrow lanes, and other things that can make their journey and their job far more difficult than it needs to be. With more and more commercial drivers using satellite navigation systems many are finding themselves being directed to a totally inappropriate route which not only causes hassle but can also prove to be dangerous.
