Navigon 6350 Live Review
The Navigon 6350 Live is a mid range satellite navigation device that comes with a 4.3-inch screen that is colourful and easy to see. When you buy the 6350 you get Live services free for the first three months, after which you will need to purchase a subscription. If you want to pay the least amount for the service, instead of paying by the month they offer 2 years for £129. The Live services are delivered to the device by way of a separate mobile data module that plugs into the system.
The subscription price is a lot less expensive than what you pay for that of the completion; unfortunately you won’t get the same level of service that you would get from competing navigation system subscriptions. What you do get with the Navigon 6350 Live services include traffic conditions, as well as local search powered by Google. With Local search, you get more information than what you would get with a points of interest feature, often the information returned even includes phone numbers. This can be a valuable feature to have when you are traveling for business.
Aside from these services you will also get Clever Parking, which is useful if you are in an unfamiliar city and don’t know where the nearest parking is. The Navigon 6350 Live will also alert you to speed cameras, as well as give you a 3-day weather forecast for the region you are in.
There are some nice enhancements with the 3D map view that comes with the Navigon 6350; not only can you view maps in 3D, but you can also view local landmarks and even street view in 3D as well. Although you don’t really need these features, they can help you by showing if you should be passing a building.
Of course you do get all of the regular navigation features with the Navigon 6350 Live, including optional routing, as well as voice command so that you can easily input navigation commands or requests for points of interest. You also get built in Bluetooth so that you can use your GPS system with your mobile phone.
There are no major extras included, aside from the normal satellite navigation features; this isn’t a problem for most people due to the fact that they are buying a GPS device specifically for navigation purposes.
The price for the Navigon 6350 is certainly reasonable enough, though you can get similar satellite navigation devices from the competitors for around the same price, plus they tend to come with more services and features.
Though the Navigon 6350 performs well, it gets only three stars due to its lack of extras when compared to similar systems in the same price range.
