With the Navigon 6310 satellite navigation system you get several advanced features to help make traveling hassle free and pleasant. This automobile GPS system comes with voice command so that you can relax and input navigation commands with ease.
The Navigon 6310 includes a database of thousands of points of interest, as well as numerous maps for European countries. In addition, you get a 3D city display so that you can see the buildings on the side of the road. You can also see realistic 3D views of landmarks. With TMC you get updates on traffic conditions so that you will be aware if there is are traffic congestion problems or roadblocks on your route, plus the device can automatically recalculate your route to take you around the traffic.
An additional feature that can be very helpful while driving is the lane assist feature; with this device you will not only get turn by turn navigation assistance, but with lane assist you will be notified in advance what lane you need to be in to make an upcoming turn.
Along with these features the Navigon 6310 comes with such extras as speed camera alert, as well as alerts that let you know that you are going faster than the speed limit. This feature can be useful in keeping you from getting a speeding ticket. With text to speech navigation you can concentrate on driving instead of looking at the GPS screen. Some additional features that you get with this device include PIN protection so that your personal information is protected, plus the 6310 supports Bluetooth.
The Navigon 6310 does come with a pedestrian mode, though the device is probably a little too big to comfortably take with you while you are walking and sightseeing. Another feature that is very useful is the Last Mile assist; with this you will never have to worry about forgetting where you parked your car. The 6310 records where your vehicle is parked and can lead you back to it.
The only real problem that you might experience with the Navigon 6310 is that it is a little slow in pinpointing your location, aside from this, it is a quality product offered at a fantastic price. For the many features of the Navigon 6310 it gets a four star rating.
