Navigon 1410 Review
The Navigon 1410 satellite navigation system is a basic entry level GPS that offers quite a few extras for a budget device. Although it lacks traffic reporting, it does offer Clever Parking, a pedestrian mode, and emergency assistance just to name a few. You will also get preinstalled maps for 25 different countries.
With excellent visual and voice guidance it is easy to navigate with the Navigon 1410, though one of the main drawbacks of this device is that the instruction to turn come too quickly, so it can sometimes be difficult to make the turn in time. To calculate your route you can choose the best route or the fastest route, plus you can choose a scenic route.
MyRoutes will keep track of your most frequent trips, including the days of the week that you drive those routes. For example, if you drive to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the Navigon 1410 will automatically pickup that route on those days, at the appropriate time.
You can easily tap the device if you want to get a list of nearby points of interest. Some additional features of the Navigon 1410 include multiple stop route calculating; speed camera warnings, plus the device will display country specific information as you reach the border to that country.
The Navigon 1410 will pinpoint your location quickly, and can calculate your route fast as well. The 1410 Navigon comes with a car mount so that you can use it in your vehicle, and while walking. It is easy to mount and remove so that when you leave your car to sightsee, it comes with you.
Some of the drawbacks of the Navigon 1410 include a small database for points of interest, plus to get updated maps you will have to pay for a subscription, which can be very expensive.
With the Navigon 1410 you get everything you need to make traveling easy, and thanks to the pedestrian mode you are not limited to only using it in your vehicle. With maps, as well as text to speech navigation, you should never have a problem with not being able to find your way.
